California Supply Chains Act
The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 seeks to eliminate slavery and human trafficking from global supply chains by requiring companies that conduct business in California disclose any efforts they take to keep their supply chains free of these human rights violations.
The Mentholatum Company (TMC) is committed to following the applicable labor and employment laws wherever it operates. These include laws pertaining to freedom of association, privacy, child labor and employment discrimination.
Our suppliers are expected to comply with conditions that include compliance with all Federal, State and Local Laws including Equal Opportunity Laws.
TMC does not use a third party to verify, evaluate, audit or address the risk of human trafficking and slavery in product supply chains.
The Mentholatum Company is dedicated to providing the highest quality and most current training available to our employees. We are currently formulating a training program for company employees who have direct responsibility for supply chain management, with a focus on mitigating the risks of encountering slavery and human trafficking within our supply chain.
The Mentholatum Company engages in routine supplier visits.
All employees and suppliers are expected to comply with The Mentholatum Company Code of Conduct. If any supplier or employee fails to comply, TMC takes the appropriate actions. If the non-compliance is serious enough, or if appropriate corrective actions are not taken, TMC can terminate the relationship with the employee or supplier.
Any conduct believed to be in violation of company standards in regard to trafficking and slavery should be reported.
